Max Polanek

Max is working on the malaria binders project, and aims to screen high-affinity nanobodies targeting P. falciparum lactate dehydrogenase using yeast surface display techniques. He previously worked with Brendan Harley under Aliki Kolliopoulos at UIUC. Outside of lab he studies pipe organ with Robert Huw Morgan, and performs regularly both as a soloist and member of the early music group called the Stanford Camerata.
